Wax candles are a good old standby to provide light and a little warmth. Store in a tightly covered container. Paraffin and beeswax both can produce carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and small amounts of sulfur and nitrogen when burned. Always burn in a ventilated area. Candles will keep in a cool, dry, well-ventilated location, away from heat or sources of ignition indefinitely.
