We are about educating real people and helping families prepare in realistic ways.

We are about providing the physical, emotional, and mental tools and skills that you may need to not only survive, but thrive in a crisis situation.

We are about using resources wisely and prudent preparation for challenging times.

We are about helping you to become better prepared for whatever emergency or crisis you may be required to face.

What is Your Family Ark not about?

We are not about gloom and doom. Nor are we about how horrible or evil the world is.

Where we can, we would exert an influence for good and stand up for that which is right. However, the people of the world will do what they are going to do. This may likely result in dangerous situations such as war, chemical, biological, nuclear, or other man-made disasters. Nature will continue to challenge us with a variety of regular events including; earthquakes, tornadoes, hurricanes, winter storms, floods, etc.

Our challenge is to plan and prepare to for such events as to minimize the impact on us and our loved ones.

Start today because if you don't, you probably won't. The fact you are seeking preparedness information probably means that somewhere inside (either in your head or your heart) you sense the importance of making preparations so that you can take care of yourself, your family, and others.

You do not need to eat the entire elephant all at once. Set realistic goals and get to work and accomplish them! Get your family or friends involved and motivate each other. We are here to help you accomplish your preparedness goals.

Take it a step at a time. Each day become a little more prepared than you were the day before. Before you know it, you will be confident in your ability to handle almost any crisis that comes your way.

We are passionate about educating and motivating families to prepare for challenging times and live providently.  Together we are working on building our family ark and loving the journey.

Jonathan is a licensed civil engineer.  He has served in a wide variety of positions including:  City Council for Mona City, Secretary for the Utah Civil Defense Volunteers, Board of Directors of The American Civil Defense Association, Emergency Communications Specialist, Emergency Preparedness Specialist, Central Utah Project Credit Union Board of Directors, President of Your Family Ark, LLC, but his most notable position is that of husband and father.

He is an enthusiast of alternative energy; especially solar and wind power. He is the brains of our organization.  He is passionate about helping others to become self-reliant and live providently.

Kylene has a certificate in business and a BS in marriage, family and human development.  She traded in a career in medical administration to be a full-time wife and mother.  Sharing her husband's passion to help others, she is active in teaching, researching, living, and writing about provident living.  She served on the advisory board and later on the board of directors for The American Civil Defense Association.

Jonathan and Kylene have co-authored numerous articles for The Journal of Civil Defense on various preparedness topics and give presentations on a wide variety of provident living topics.  Their business, Your Family Ark LLC, is an education and consulting organization founded to help others on their journey to living more providently.
